Dinah Washington (August 29, 1924 December 14, 1963) was a blues, R&B and jazz singer. Despite dying at the early age of 39, Washington became one of the most influential vocalists of the twentieth century,. She is a 1986 inductee of the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.

Lyrics:
What a difference a day made
Twenty-four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers
Where there used to be rain

My yesterday was blue, dear
Today I'm part of you, dear
My lonely nights are through, dear
Since you said you were mine

What a difference a day makes
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above can't be stormy
Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
And the difference is you

What a difference a day makes
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above can't be stormy
Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
And the difference is you

  • Dear God

Please bring Dinah Washington back and pick up Justin Bieber.

  • @vidaloca07 Nobody else should bother trying to sing this song. It cannot be better than this. Why tamper with perfection, right?

  • Now this song?????? WOW, brought memories that I cherish, my mom and dad, dancing in the livingroom.....me sitting there looking at love, learning what good music was, the melody soothing and making me smile. I have no doubt that as soon I as pushed play, somewhere in heaven, my parents once again looked at each other lovingly, and danced once more

  • @Raysboat I can relate to being on the dance floor with your love and hating when this song was over unless of course something like My Prayer by The Platters came up next. Then you were right back in heaven.

  • Love this song, have it on my Ipod, sad that people don't remember the classics.

  • Nothing short of totally AWESOME. Put many a quarter in the J Box in the 50's to listen to this one. One of the greatest of all times. Imagine being on the dance floor with your lady and listening to this classic.

  • @pungooer, sorry not even they can turn back time now. It is up to us to get through these bad music times.

  • I love this song!

  • Pungooer, I got a laugh out of your comment and I agree with you. We have lost many wonderful singers and so young.. She would have been 88 years old this year!

  • Thank-You for Sharing this with me Jerry! Wow… <3 xo

  • I LOVE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !

  • @themadaboutmusic Yes you are right about that one. He has taken some of the absolute best.
