OK Sate Rep. James Lockhart Falls Asleep in Session

This it what is wrong with politics: we are electing officials who don't care enough about what fellow party members are saying to stay awake and listen and of all things during a bill about education. I find this to be a huge embarrassment to our State and our district.

Regardless of whether he was "asleep" or not is of no real significance. It is clear to see from this video that he was not well invested in the conversation. I remember as a child in the education system we were taught that in order to pay attention it was required of us to listen attentively ( i.e. eyes open and not lazy with our posture). Everyday people are expected to perform their jobs well even when they may not feel well, our elected officials should be held to that same standard.

He wasn't sleeping. Good try, but slinging mud will only get dirt on your face. Rep. Lockhart does a good job of representing District 3.

THIS IS NOT RIGHT! I just visited with Representative Lockhart and said he had ear infections on both ears at that time. He said he had alot of pain and he WAS NOT asleep. If you watch you can see his hands moving and him moving around! This was a debate on an education bill Lockhart was recognized by the Okla Education Assoc as AN OUTSTANDING PRO-EDUCATION LEGISLATOR!! THIS IS A JOKE!!
