Furthermore, I'm not impressed by the way a conversation about Yoo's recent argument becomes an excuse to sound off about the torture memos.

I greatly respect Spitzer, but this interview isn't very impressive. Yoo's argument about the handling of bin Laden, whether you agree with it or not, is perfectly consistent with his previous legal work for the Bush administration - both center on using state power to obtain information from terror suspects. So presenting these positions incredulously, as if they are somehow contradictory, is odd.
