Eve of Destruction Classic
The Indochina Vietnam conflict 1946-1973

Eve of Destruction is a free modification of the popular Battlefield 1942 game by DICE/EA, based on the Vietnam war.

No other military conflict is comparable to those dramatic years of the 20th century. Most rumors spread about the Indochaina and Vietnam War are not honest, even though it was the best documented war in history. No other military conflict was ever so controversial, pointing to an unloved fact: our enemy was not the only source of evil, the evil could be found within ourselves. The "Eve Of Destruction" mod is a tribute to the U.S. , ARVN and Vietcong/NVA soldiers who fought and died in Vietnam, and also to the Vietnamese people.

Eve of Destruction is available for Battlefield 1942, Battlefield:Vietnam and Battlefield-2.

Add to that , that bf has never been about realism, for god sake you folks who think bf is anything close to a simulator need to get your brains checked out. Try out VBS or Arma 2, Ro1, DCS, IL2 for a more realistic representation of war.

Lmfao, funny then that BF:VIETNAM was developed by DICE CANADA back in 2003-2004 and NOT by the stockholm office that made 1942 , bf2 and bf3.

  • My only complaint about Battlefield Vietnam is that the clowns who made that game obviously watch too many Oliver Stone Vietnam movies and think that they are reality, when in fact reality was grimmer than the films would present. It's too much like Apocalypse Now. They may as well rename Battlefield Vietnam, "Apocalypse Now: The Game."

They need to stop watching Hollywood Vietnam movies. They're from Sweden, what do you expect from Europeans? Why do all the games look like Hollywood movies?
