Selena and Bert visited New Orleans in 2004. During their Honeymoon they played with the Storyville Stompers at Halloween. Playing Bourbon Street Parade actually in Bourbon Street during a Parade was one great thrill for lovers of classic jazz.
Here it is repeated in the Netherlands with Ray Vanderhooft singing.

Yes, you are right. Strangely enough almost all bands in our country play it in F. As bass sax specialist I in fact love everything in Ab. We sometimes modulate the last ckorus to Ab.Not this time since we had 3 people helping out on this gig.

Check out The Dukes of Dixieland playing Bourbon Street Parade as well as other great tunes......I've been listening to those guys since I was in high school...they're gone now, unfortunately. I like the Crackerjack's version too. bravo.

I REALLY like this version of Bourbon Street! I play piano in a jazz band over here in the US and we are doing this song, but I've always despised it because it was a "street parade" and a very different style of improvising then what I'm used to. I'm also not that crazy about the key of Ab... But you guys do a really good job on this, I love it! It's very clean and professional. :)
