States had better assert themselves, and stop begging Washington for money, and stop allowing Washington to legislate Federal Mandates

  • Excellent! Very well understood and communicated.

  • i'm not talking about breaking into smaller pieces, i'm talking about returning to the old fashioned way that each state sends senators to Washington. instead of popular vote, they should return to the way it was before the 17th amendment was ratified, which was, the governor of the state nominated his pick for senator, and that state's legislature voted up or down on it, kinda like the way the US pres. nominate his choice for US supreme court justice, and the US senate votes yies or no
