@shamblestonite take alexander technique lessons. It will help you increase awareness of your use of the body/mind. All kinds of problems created by incorrect use can be healed by bringing awareness in through the alexander technique. And also you will start to get lot of compliments from others regarding how good your posture and use looks. Good luck!

this might sound funny but i have come across the most comftable shape for the palm of the hand. i discovered it like this. try it out and you'll be amazed. Take a food lade turned upisde down with hollow side facing down and just see how supportive and comfortable it feel on the palm with no pointed edges. this spherical shape makes the perfec palm support. i want a mouse which is shaped exactly like a half circle or spherical object cut in half. try it for urself and you will be amazed

How come her back isn't resting on the chair? My back would ache for hours if I didn't rest it on my chair.

@shamblestonite That's great that you took some AT Lessons. Yes it takes a while to understand the concepts. REad the book by Pedro De Alacantra, its pretty good. Take atleast 2 lessons per week in the beginning, then you can switch to 1 lesson per week. I a really slow, It took me 6 months to start to understand what was going on. After a year it all comes togather. It is really the best investment in my life. GOod luck!

thanks for that tip, I tried a few AT lessons and unfortunately still struggle, I guess I need the money to keep taking more lessons as the concepts are hard to grasp and apply in just 6 sessions 1hourp/wk, having said that I did find it healing and look to try again soon hopefully, thanks for the reminder! -)

Yes you can so long as you tilt back from the pelvis and don't let your lower back round. I find its best to alternate between the front and the back of the chair if you're sitting for long periods.

Just seen this on your site,as I'm thinking of buying your program, but just wanted to ask, you mention just sitting up straight doesn't improve your posture but here you're just demonstrating the same idea it seems of just telling yourself to sit differently? how can I keep this up long term constantly having to think because I'll just forget or does your program offer something different?

It's about changing your habits. It does take a bit of practice to start with but eventually it will become a habit 'not' to slump. The program contains a number of techniques and movements that will help to improve your body knowledge and therefore make it easier for you to do these positions etc.

Wow that was a fast response, I think I'll consider the program, it's just after I stopped doing my physio exercises years ago it's gotten bad, I just needed something I can maintain in time,thanks.

You could say I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting :0) The beauty of this program is that you don't need to set time aside for exercises as they are done as part of your daily activities.
