This is the second tutorial in this new series I am making. In this video, I will teach you how to sidechain elements to your kick drum using the fruity peak controller and the fruity balance plugins. My next tutorial will come sometime soon, I will be covering piano melodies in that one.

Anyways...enjoy, learn, and create.

  • How about part 3? It's been some time now.

  • @DjDannYL

lol part 3 happened some time ago.so did parts 4 and 5. look on my other channel.

part 6 should be on its way but I'm in the middle of working on a project so you'll have to wait on that.

  • @DJT0nic @DJT0nic

2 Channels and this video is posted on the old channel where vid one is on the new channel and the rest of them are in your 'other channel'. What other channel? It might be better just to post the link somewhere where you posted the vid coz I don't think I'm the only one who can't find part 3,4,5 etc.

  • @BluBeep

first off, other channel is here:

    youtube(.)com/user/trancecrafter

second, this tutorial series has been changed. Instead of showing how to make a song step by step, my newer tutorials focus on certain production techniques/skills. you can find "parts" 3, 4, 5, and 6 all on my other channel. they just are under a different name and are different in their approach.

  • Hey TranceCrafter! Do you know where i could find some free piano samples? I just recently decided to start producing trance and my friend happened to have FL Studio 9, so I just use his. I don't want to spend money on this just yet until i make sure that I like producing trance!

  • @razvanovicio Yeah man, you can get a free soundfont from the same place I got my sample DVD from. Look up "Splendid Grand Collection." The DVD normally costs like $15, but you can get a 72 mb soundfont from them as well completely free.

It sounds pretty damn good too! Best piano soundfont I have found so far that isn't like $300+ dollars.

  • No idea if you remember me from Newgrounds, but I was just wondering if you ever considered the awesomeness of your track "Trance Shall Live Forever". Listen, I know you're done with your unfinished projects but that one I would argue is the best one of all (I would bet on it). It's just that my friends and I downloaded it and nearly drooled while listening to it. It has a godly rythm and beat and all that good stuff so if you ever consider...or not...just let me know.

  • @MrFijiWiji better late than never
