Kawasaki GPZ500 S 2001 Y HPId £1 Start GPZ 500
See the video commentary and 30 large pictures in listing.
Estimated sale price £450.00 £1150.00
This bike has been sitting around for about 6 months. However I have just been for a ride on the bike. There are a handful of small jobs that are needed to put the bike back into action.
The videos in this description are intended to give you an idea on the ware and tare any defects that I have found whilst examining and testing the bike.
Included paperwork, Hpi certificate (all clear) V5 registration document, an old service invoice, and MOT test certificate expired June29th 2009. VOSA MOT test history.
Contact:
You can text me at work on 07711 116592 or via the ebay ask the seller a question facility (I usually answer my emails once a day (am usually)). Also you can call me 01273 78 2835.
Is the mileage right?
The previous owner has signed for the mileage and the mileage check on the HPI certificate shows no discrepancy. However whilst I think it is possible that it is right, I have no outright proof.

Other
There are no signs of any serious previous accidents in the history or around the bike.
There are no other obvious faults or visible damage.
HPI
The bike comes with an up to date authentication print out (HPI Certificate) this shows the bike:
·Has a secure background.
·Is clear of finance.
·Is clear of any previous accident insurance pay out.
·Is not stolen.
There are a number of other features in the check that are also included.
Ebay will also do the check for you for £6.00.
Deposit Payment
Deposit £100.00 by PayPal on close of auction.
To use PayPal: Log in to your PayPal account www.PayPal.com (do not go into PayPal through ebay or you will not get the Send Money tab.
Click on the Send Money tab, and fill in the information asked for (use my email address davidevans@london.com).
Click the Personal tab and then select either the Personal payment owed option or the Other option.
The next screen is just the confirmation.
Worried about PayPal?
If you do not want to use PayPal, the £100.00 deposit could be paid in to your nearest NatWest bank in cash (if you prefer this method to paying the deposit by PayPal).
You can pay the balance in cash when you collect the bike (if you like the bike when you see it).
(PayPal fees @3.4% are too high for the whole amount).
Delivery:
There is a choice of motorcycle delivery companies in the ebay classifieds.
If you put Motorcycle delivery in as the search you see the choice.
I have used a company called www.motorcycledeliveryuk.co.uk with out any problems. They might be worth a try.
Another company I have used with out any problem is Ron Perkins Motorcycle Transport www.movingmotorcycles.co.uk email; transport@movingmotorcycles.co.uk Tel; 01322 660203 & 07730 434699
Also hiring a trailer can be as little as £15 for a day (some charge up to £30.00 a day).
If unsold at the end of the auction.
If the bike does not make the reserve I will wait to see what offers come in after the auction and then decide if I am going to re-list or take the best offer. I might also consider some sort a PX (after the auction if not sold).
Collection:
Collect within 10 days, almost any time is ok (apart from Saturday and Sunday).
Feedback:
This bike is guaranteed to be as described. If when you come to collect you find it is not as described you can refuse the transaction with out risk to your feedback.
I am selling as a TRADER (this differs from a DEALER in that I do not have retail premises). However I do have over 30 years experience in the trade.
I cannot give you an honest answer on issues with regard to the bike's prior history, as it has not been my bike from new. I can however, share my opinion as to its appearance and mechanical condition. I always test-ride and inspect all my bikes very carefully prior to listing them.
Cheap start price and LOW RESERVE, have a bid and grab a bargain!
Whilst I have done my best to describe the bike as accurately as I can, and I have tried not to miss any thing by including as many detailed close up pictures as I can, not all the detail can be seen clearly. It is also still possible to miss the odd item also it is possible that there may be a fault that seems insignificant to me and so therefore it does not get a mention in the description, so it is best to finish with the phrase, Errors and Omissions Excluded (E & OE).
The pictures
Tip: Pressing F11 on your keyboard should enlarge your pictures still further. Press F11 again to turn off.
The pictures below were taken on 21/09/2009. Take a good look at these pictures as you may well see more detail hear than you will if you are standing in front of the bike. After the pictures were taken the bike was put into dry storage and will be kept dry & unused until sold.
Any comments on my ebay listing are welcome (good or bad).
Thank you for looking.

  • Interesting.

Im just about to buy a GPZ 500 ( Possibly? )

I have a GS850 and a ZZR600 and both are running but both have been off the road for over 2 years and are physically messed up.

The ZZr runs great, however I keep taking it to the limit and its time to slow down I feel, and teh GPZ will force me to go slower, btu still let me have a giggle now and then.
