In my opinion, Ricky Ponting is a much better player and a batsman than Sachin Tendulkar. Fact is Ricky Ponting had to captain the Australian side for almost a decade, that put pressure on him and still he managed to produce the best in himself. We all know Sachin was useless as a captain and crumbled under pressure. Therefore, who is better? A man after stats or a man who performs well for his team under pressure? Ricky Ponting is the legend and well above Sachin Tendulkar.

@zippyzak7 The fact is, you are an idiot and no one can cure that....firstly, Ponting thrived under his captaincy while Tendulkar had a string of 0's under his belt when he was a captain, and Tendulkar had trouble going for presentations and speaking up "Well the boys played well"...was all he ever said, and could not make independent decisions.

Also, Ponting may less runs under his belt than Tendulkar, but every time he has batted he has made them count. So Ponting is much better!!
