  • great insight. Harvard doesn't add value to their students; the students add value to the institution.

  • @sthomaslewis It's Dutch spelling. It says: About Diplomas.

  • Hobbies is the key! Thank you for the reminder Mr Gatto.

  • I hate to ask this but, what is the violin song playing in the beginning???

  • diplomas - not diploma's

Please do not put apostrophes in plurals.

  • Would someone remaster this so it plays in sync?

  • @jdbrown371 That's inaccurate. Albert Einstein said that if you don't make a discovery by 26, you never will. He didn't say you couldn't be a physicist... or there'd hardly be any in existence. For myself, I console myself by remembering that Ben Franklin did his scientific work in his 40s (he was already independently wealthy via publishing). I avoid school; but I have to say, it's been a journey learning to punch my own time clock. Do it everyday; yeah, easier said than done.

  • Maybe I'll be 60 by the time it's my turn but so be it.

  • I'd move heaven and hell if I could for the chance to learn but I'm approaching 40. Andrew Strominger told me when I was 27 that I was already too old for serious study in physics, that if you didn't make a big discovery by the time you were 30 it was over. Maybe I just want to be a good physicist or at least the best I can be. Maybe I can be a good pedagogue or expositor of the subject. It's NOT over for me. I don't give a godamned what anyone thinks.

  • My hobby is mathematics and theoretical physics. I never applied to Harvard but I sat in on some of their classes. Without question, they have many of the smartest people in the world. I would love to study there someday but believe me, if they taught my beloved subjects at the level I'm interested at Middlesex Community College, I'd go in a heartbeat but they don't nor do they anywhere else. The Ivy League veneer means nothing to me.

  • @FocusedLove Exactly
