My all time favourite movie as depicted on my FB profile. If Facebook tells it, it must be true. A Taxi Driver Music video; a character study of the often misrepresented 'hero'/psychopath that is De Niro's Travis Bickle. The music is by Arcade Fire and it's called My Body Is A Cage; a song I think carries with it some slight Western connotations which fits well with 'Cowboy' in this instance in my opinion. Enjoy it, I think I did good with the effects. Using Desaturate all but Red, I made the red slightly more prominent and I think it came out very earthly and grindhousey.Oh...anyone who spots the reason for another certain effect used in this video gets a free 44 Magnum, 6" version as made famous in Dirty Harry.*

Travis was not a psycho though. So,this video is ultimately failing in its intentions.The main failing,was labeling,and accusing,whilst at the same time trying to superimpose your personal beliefs to the movies meanings,via clever editing.

@MOTHIKAS Except that Martin Scorsese has actually described Bickle's postion as anti-hero & psychopath and actually gets annoyed when fans consider him to be the knight in shining armour to Jodie's character. He's the equivalent of Columbine & Virginia Tech, only when he snapped, he happened to direct that wrath on bad guys.

Taxi Driver is not a film about loneliness, it's a film about a certain type of lonely charactercreated in Modern American society who feels discarded, disconnected and ultimately lashes out violently at the world around him. Taxi driver predicted the real life characters like Eric Harris. Who whilst yes the film's about loneliness and all sorts of lonely people can relate. It's still telling the story of travis bickle whose isolation led to psychopathy.
