I love this song not only because it reminds me of what Christ has done for me but it shows the beauty of the life I will be spending with God in eternity. That day is something we can hope for in the midst of all our troubles in this life. One of my favorite phrases in this song is "my faith shall be my eyes." When that day comes, when darkness takes over this temporary world, our faith in Christ is all that remains. Jesus has overcome. It is finished. He died for our sins, past, present, and future, so that we can be holy and acceptable before our God. He rose from the dead, conquering death itself, the obstacle no man can do and is feared by many. Victory is won, and we can always look forward to that and rise when Christ comes back the second time, calling us and holding us. Will you rise with me?
