This is a fly by wire plane. The pilot makes the inputs but the computer flies the plane. As it was in a flare position over the runway, the computer thought the plane was landing and raised the nose more and lowered engine power. Also the pilots did not know of the wood on the other end of the runway.

THIS IS NOT A unmanned flight people died on that plane, This rumor started because this was the first public test flight of the Airbus fly by wire system were the pilot inputs via a joystick the computers then interprets this change then change the control surfaces to make the plane do was has been requested ,This incident was at the pairs air show were the pilot switched off the system and came too low too slow as the engines take time to spool up you can here them at 0:17 screaming.
