  • Ho avuto l'occasione di conoscerlo personalmente in un incontro IDRS a Mainz (D). Persona squisita, ottimo musicista, eccellente pedagogo. Un caro saluto. Corrado Dabbene, docente fagotto Conservatorio "L. Cherubini" di Firenze (I)

  • ew.. plastic reeds? no no, those sound bad.. like unbelievably bad.. like "I want to cover my ears because they are bleeding" bad. Sorry, just putting in my two cents worth

  • @Krauser012345 Its true , plastic reeds are the shittiest reeds you can get.

  • @Krauser012345 im sorry but i actually do...ive been playing basson for 8 years now and have made reeds for 5 of those years...and plastic reeds are complete shit

  • @Toast579 Fuck you, you have no sense of shit of double reed instruments.

  • @Helloo32 He's taking large chunks out if the reed because he has it attached to a profiler. It's used as a guideline for the shape of the reeds.

  • when you make a reed there are parts thinner than others, in the middle and the tip. when a reed lacks those thin parts it sounds basically like shit.

  • It felt like he was just reading off the page. I didn't like the fact that he took large chunks out of the collar increasing the possibility of the reed sounding like crap. he should have carefully shaped the reed instead of using fast nonchalant motions to cut away at the collar. Secondly, he didn't even describe the most important part of making a reed. Which is shaping the tip with a reed knife which is what the sound depends on. Even if he is a Julliard instructor, I think there is better
