Ki-43 Hayabusa - under partial restoration in Moscow

This airplane was taken at Shumshu, which is the northernmost island of the Kuril Islands group. That was just fragments - the whole wing, engine and engine mounting frame. Partial restoration will just give the idea about the exterior of this famous fighter to public. Full restoration is possible, but we have no original blueprints...

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, now there is an unpleasant brake in our work on this particular plane, as other projects can't wait... Hope to return to it in spring.

После переходя островов под советскую юрисдикцию на аэродроме Катаока (Байково) базировались советские P-63 Kingcobra. После завершения их эксплуатации вся эта техника оставлена на аэродроме (в поле)

т.к. даже её утилизация оказалась нерентабельна в суровых условиях Курильских островов.Сейчас останки самолётов вывозятся группами энтузиастов для их реставрации (в т.ч. до лётного состояния)

Hello, I woder how is this plane now? Is it fully repaired, any recent video/ photos of this plane? Any other planes captured by the Russian at the northen island along with this Hayabusa?  I hope they are in museums of Moscow so people can see them.
