@tw69hands2 Up until Holmes Cooney didn't need much defense. He only had a few rounds against quality fighters going into the fight and had no "warm-up" fight. It's a shame. After the Holmes fight he self-destructed. His style was very exciting, not at all afraid to take a punch to get inside and land the hook. A far cry from the styles of most of today's champs. How many fighters today would come inside with a 4" height advantage?
