Surprise in historic Galena, IL

Live from the Mississippi (almost).
Today my wife and I were sitting in the Galena Railway Cafe sipping decaf.
We're on a weekend getaway. The Cafe is right next to the historic railroad station on the Illinois Central, then CCP, then IC, now CN line.
The rails are just slightly rusted over from last night's rainfall.
My wife asks whether there are any trains running here and when.
I say, I'd guess there are one or two per day. I add they probably come through here at night.
We sip our coffees as I hear a deep rumble in the building. Then the flashers of the crossing outside go off. So do I as I run out, the camera flying behind me on its string.
No time whatsoever to set up anything howsoever. Only benefit-the patrons in the cafe (and my wife) don't have any time to wonder about anything either, cause it's all over in a hurry.
And I'm back to sipping coffee.
No kidding, I hadn't planned this!
My wife probably doesn't believe one word :)

@lordbemylight that becuase it used to have been a depot when the trains stopped at gelaina insted of just go through it during the times of passenger traisn. after other types of transportation develioped the depot becasme a visitor center.
