This is an experiment that I saw on YouTube from the Neistat Brothers. It was so interesting I had to try it and post it. However, I don't suggest you try it as you could kill or maim yourself with electricity. You've been warned.

i have one question why did the pickle light up?

The salty, acidic water inside the pickle is conductive and lets the electricity arc. It is essentially a controlled short to ground exactly like a light bulb.
