This is the song "When This Is Over" by Hayden, it's off the album "Everything I Long For."

Note: This song was written by Hayden about the mother, Susan Smith, who killed her two sons in 1994 by letting their car roll into a lake. The idea behind this song is that this could be what the older boy (Michael, 3) was saying to his younger brother (Alexander, 14 months) while the car was sinking. It is truely heartbreaking if you listen to the lyrics.

@jerkythesandpiper Silly, my ass. As the father of a three-year-old, I'd say he pretty much nailed how one might react in that situation. The confusion, the wanting to help the sibling, the still wanting to please his mother in spite of everything ... Jesus, I used to love this song's darkness, but now listening to it just hurts like a bad tooth because it's so visceral.

Only a sociopath would laugh at this song.

What actually happened to those poor souls is tremendously horrible but I can see how Hayden's interpretation can be laughable. Such silly vocals.

the thought that someone would " laugh so hard they cry" to this song is sick. I have a hard time listening to it period. It was a sick thing to do and so sad to hear what might have been going through that 3 yr olds mind at the time.

It's really impossible for me not to laugh so hard I cry listening to this. Is that bad?
