i think he rode really great on Alpe D'huez without any help and the Schleck brothers just grilled him. obviously he is really great cyclist.

I don't know why everybody dislikes Cadel. I'm trying to get it. This interview was good, no? And his going it alone on Alpe D'Huez was astonishing - no help like Sastre had, and he rode clean, not that Sastre wasn't deserving of his win, but he had it easier than Cadel with a great team strategy behind him. But to come in 2nd after a crash like he had...The only reason to count him out would be his own demoralized state and no real team back-up - he's still a great rider.
