  • One of the reasons I don't like discussion on YouTube is they block all URLS of websites and email, and you can't even point at things like video of scholars like Chalmers Johnson. So I won't go further here; lets continue on one of the email lists related to the MICC or maybe on facebook. Gosh, I wonder if they will let me post this, or perhaps facebook is a forbidden word on YouTube.

  • Thanks, Cyallaire, I agree, our problem is similar to past generations' warnings about a "standing army". It's also interesting to ponder your point, these presidents have violated the "oath". I hate the word, I prefer to call it the contract with the american people based on their promises during the campaign.... One final point I hugely recommend making a recording of the great masters like Chalmers Johnson when you ask them a question; listen 1,2 weeks later. their answers are great.

  • Thank you so much for your prompt answer. I would like to see a recording of the talk of Chalmers Johnson that he gave for the Whittier Peace Coalition (exact name?) I certainly am glad I stumbled on to your set of talks. I had just noted a comment that you left under another person's uploaded video and was intrigued, so checked on the link of your name to view your own videos. You've done a good job.

  • Thanks for this perspective. I'd had a chance to hear Chalmers Johnson speak a few times, and on one instance, I was able to ask why the US has a continuously "standing army" in violation of the Constitution. In essence, every president for over 100 years has broken the oath of office. Johnson's answer first made it sound that he didn't think I was interpreting the Constitution correctly. Subsequently, I heard him make a similar point to the one I was raising in the question.

  • @SeerTravisTruman

wars are not profitable?!..tell that to international bankers, weapons manufacturers, war contractors, construction corporations, etc..

  • Wars are started by societal leaders due to deep seated psychological and emotional problems. They are an orgy of cathartic release via societally-sponsored mass-murder.

No war is undertaken for monetary profit. Wars are not profitable. Simply put : War makes people feel better.

See My website for the Forbidden Truth of war.

  • It really bothers me that this information wasn't more readily discussed by our news media before Iraq and even to this day when we know that the "War on Terror" was a advertisement to get the citizens to support it.

  • Great stuff. I wish the issue would be debated on TV.
