  • I hate how the weather channel takes commercial breaks right after they announce a tornado warning! If there's a tornado threat where I live I always watch the local weather guys because the weather channel is unreliable. You never know when they're going to air When Weather Changed History as a tornado bares down on your town.

  • @comicpilot Exactly. NBC Universal should've NEVER bought The Weather Channel. They should've said "NO" to their deal.

  • @rattmausch noaa radio is best for tornado warning it has alarms that wakes u up from a sleep vs the tv

  • It's funny how they still have commercial breaks. I was in the area and I was terrified. Tornadoes damaged my house. So Its better to just stick with local news for tornadoes and other severe weather.

  • @Weatherman436 What's funny is they went to actual tv programs to compete with NatGEO, TLC, Discovery, etc.. TWC needs tolet those stations do reality tv... Stick to weather reporting. Most people I know who complain bout the wx channel is because it became a tv station and less about actual current weather.. Besides that if you take, "Storm Stories" or "Storm Riders" and put those up again Discoveries "Storm Chasers" Discovery blasts weather channel shows' off the map.

  • @comicpilot Yep. Something tells me that The Weather Channel is heading for a double dipper for rock bottom. They have not shown their LDL during Prime Time for a few weeks now and it is rediculous.

  • @Weatherman436 True, but they still take commercial breaks at a time when warnings should be continuing. Comparing their coverage to ABC 33/40 and the FOX station in Birmingham for the big outbreaks April 15, 27 this year their coverage was substantially better. TWC has a few really good on air meteorologists but they tend to also put total idiots in front of the cameras who you wouldn't want making you a burger at Mcdonalds let alone warning of you of severe weather...

  • Macon County had the highest death toll out of any county in Tennessee that night. Remember it like it was yesterday.

  • Do you have any videos reporting a tornado in Macon County Tennessee?

  • TWC has changed. They now cover major severe weather outbreaks. And when needed, they scratch regular programming to cover the severe weather.

  • @MrGSWAGG92

I live in jackson tennessee and it seems that every 4 years our city is hit by a strong tornado we were hit in1999 2003 and in 2008 and each one took out a good portion of our city but all we can do is rebuild and wait out the next one.
