these, from my experience with them, are a blast to drive, but, are scary as shit when you go off track and crash! no control with these cars sometimes! 120 hp is alot in these things!- they are still extremely safe though

I was driving that Miata, trust me it was a lot more than a scratch. Fortunately I have raced with Ron many times since and this is our only encounter.

The corner worker? They can't just run out there. They have to wait for permission from race control and such and if they saw the drivers moving then they were probably waiting for a cold track or at least the field to be behind a pace car, in this case it looks like they stopped it.

Both of us waved at the corner worker saying we're ok. The second set of cars had just started and they had to signal a caution. The corner worker was perfect.
