My first video to top 10,000 views! Here's my brand-new Lionel BNSF SD70ACe pulling a train on my permanent O scale layout. The engine is Legacy control equipped, and I'm operating the loco under TMCC. The engine is VERY detailed, the RailSounds are great, and the engine runs very smoothly. It is beautiful !! This video shows the SD70ACe going through its moves, from starting out, a couple run-bys, a pacing shot, and the engine stopping and shutting down. Since I shot this video, I've seen the actual BNSF 9380 (leading a train too), making this engine a lot more special to me!

  • Does anyone know if this engine came with a legacy memory module?

  • @mstopaz100 Yes it did. I don't have much use for mine right now, but I'll keep it for when I get Legacy.

According to Lionel's website the memory module for this locomotive is still available. Part# 691MM28302 for the cost of $5.00.

  • Bummer, I just bought this engine and a legacy set, but I realize now its missing the module.

  • @Teder95 By "blind" you mean un-flanged, right? I agree, the middle wheels look better un-flanged than the inside. All wheels on Lionel's SD70ACe's are flanged, though so that's not a problem.

  • @EverywhereWest oh no im not worried about that! i just think its stupid when the inside wheel is blind instead of the center wheels. but if you speak so highly of it, i will consider! haha

  • @Teder95 Yes, but you won't notice the one axle pivoting, I never do. I'm not sure if it even pivots unless it's going through sharp curves. I normally run mine on O48 and never notice anything.

  • @Teder95 so what you're saying is, they are all flanged, but one of the axles pivots? i dont like blind wheels......

  • @Teder95 Yes, a BIG plus if you go with the Lionel version. Lionel even made one of the axles on each truck pivot, so the engine can go through curves as sharp as O36!

  • @EverywhereWest are all the wheels on it flanged?
