Nov. 2-7, 2008 Compassion International took 6 bloggers to the Dominican Republic to see their ministry to children up close and write about it.
On the third day of the trip, the bloggers met Mariolvis. Mariolvis was a sponsored child through Compassion International for many years. Today she is a healthy confident 21 year-old attending the University of Santo Domingo. She told the bloggers how Compassion International and her sponsor released her from poverty. This is part of that story.

This is awesome! It is such a blessing to see how we as people can impact one person's life and change it for the better. Everyone should get involved in ministries such as these.
It brings such joy to me when I hear what her sponsor means to her. It is a blessing to watch and listen.
Thanks for sharing. :)
I encourage everyone to support a child through a ministry like this.
