very good video and educational thank you very,,, hope to learn from you soon thank

It is a super thing
I have one question for you. It looks like you didn't wind the coil with two wires at the same time but just with one wire and later with the other one but not over the first wire but on the remaining part of the toroid. Is it essential?
-
Is it just me or does a bedini ssg circuit look like a joule thief circuit?
-
one of the best energy videos i ever seen! you r so cool, and very naice music!
how r you?
hugs :)

@stevenchiverton it looks like my fully charged 12 volts 7.2 ah sla battery is so low from sucking all the power out with my joule thief circiut its now not holding a charge anymore so i measured its voltage and it was only above 9.72 volts so it may look like that the excessive power consumption may of caused the sulphate biuld up i think
-
@stevenchiverton ive did some more testing of the joule thief battery charger i can charge up hv photo flash caps and make colliodal silver and spot weld alliuminium foil with it to useing a photo flash cap at the outputs with a neon and a pencil for a spot welder for welding . and make fine misty hho gas to from water
-
@stevenchiverton after biulding this circiut and getting it going i not only can charge up button cell batteries but allso high voltage photo flash caps to , so thats handy
-
@stevenchiverton now ive got different the most voltage i got out of it from just over the amount mentioned is now over 154 volts yet i can barley power a flouro globe with it but i did charge a 2200uf 50 volts electro to past its voltage rateing of 50 volts i put 71 volts on it and its still in top condition and you can feel the charge on it to
I found that with my JT, i was able to light a 110 v neon with two AA's, but I had to use quite a considerable number of turns on my toroid. about 200. i bet this has to do with the iron quality? where did you get yours? and the neon too? i didn't see those at radioshack or whatever. great work too!! you've really helped alot with my JT! Thanks

cheers Jerronimo,
Im not sure how iron quality affects this. But i believe ferrite works best, without drawing too much current. I use ferrite torroids.
I think 200 turns is good, better charging, but more current draw.
I get my stuff, including neons from jaycar(dot)com(dot)au
I use 90V neons, i think they are called NE5's or something.
Thats great u are lighting neons on 2xAA. A lot of ppl who are replicatng this project are finding it hard to get such high voltage spikes.

excellent build, diagram and video, thankyou. It would be nice if you'd done a more thorough investigation into the amount of energy used, vs the amount of energy recovered.
Alkaline batteries over heat when using a dc charging current and the electrolyte boils, exploding the can, but this circuit produces 'damped wave' oscillations which I believe 'shake' the charge carriers in the electrolyte back into the charged state.
Rather handily, I have all the parts i need to make one of these....

thanx Curator,
Yes i want to do an in Vs out comparison but im yet to develop a proper and reliable test. still waiting to buy an inverter. Ive done some privative tests and they have been promising. u cant just measure the current coming out and comparing it. u have to test how much u can get out of the charge battery.
ur right, these alkalines can be recharged bcoz im using High Voltage instead of current

i think the high voltage pulses are better at charging batteries coz current kills batteries. the HV charges the IONs instead of electrons.
Ive recently brought a dead motorbike battery back to life. It had been sulphated for over 3 years and now its back to normal.
its great for battery recovery and verstatile.
Build one mate, they are lots of fun!
u'll never throw out another dead battery!

Very sweet. I have noted when I charge at .5 amp I can charge my 12 amp hour battery to 15 volts in 26 hours. It load tests great as well!

Yeh these circuits are great at charging with the radiant. Its like a simplified ss-bedini!
u should do a charging video Mart, i know u have some good equipment
