My father always sang this song to me when I was little based on Paul Clayton's version. I've been trying to find other versions and this is by far and away the very best! I listen to it at least once a day. :)

Wow! Really, really supurb version of this song. I have heard countless covers of this song and almost didn't want to hear another one....but decided to listen to your version anyway. Think I favor this version over fairports version,it's very pleasant on the ear, love the harp or is it mandolin..?..do you have plans to do other songs of Liege & Lief..?

@Glinteye Nah, I'm not a huge Fairport fan. In fact, I've never even heard their version. Joanie B does a nice version, but it's all, Joanified, if you can stomach that.
