Rare: Wow, Must see........ Second Generation Camaro

Here is a second generation price guide based on the following website:
http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/priceg1.html#1981

Rating system:
#6: Parts Car. weathered, wrecked or striped. Useful mainly for parts.
#5: Restorable. Needs complete restoration of body, chassis and interior, may not run, but won't be wrecked or striped.
#4: Good. drivable, needing minor work to be functional, may need restoration but mostly usable.
#3: Very Good. Completely functional, older restoration showing wear, presentable and serviceable inside & out.
#2: Fine. Well Restored or extremely well maintained showing minimal wear.
#1: Excellent. Restored professionally to maximum standards, or in perfect original condition.

1981 - updated 2007 #6 #5 #4 #3 #2 #1
Sport Coupe V8 - $264 $792 $1320 $2970 $4620 $6600

Prices derived from "Collector Car Price Guide" - 2007.

This car is definitely a must see, and in my opinion is at least a #2 rating, Almost a #1, but you'd have to see for yourself.

Interior is almost mint, No rust, all original with only 65000km.

1981 Camaro Sport Coupe

# 1981 FACTS Appearance changes were limited to minor color and trim variations in 1981, the last model of the second-generation Camaros.

# At 126,139 sold, this was the lowest volume Camaro model since the 1973. While 1973s low volume traced to a lengthy labor dispute, 1981s decline was due in part to a difficult economy, particularly for the auto industry, following the 1979 Iranian revolution.

# The Rally Sport option was not available for 1981 models.

A11 1981 Camaros were equipped with Chevrolets "advanced computer command control" engine management system.

Deletion of the Rally Sport model in 1981 reduced the choices of Camaro configurations to Sport Coupe, Berlinetta, and Z28. This permitted clear definition of mission.

The 1981 Camaro model year served as a fitting finale for the enduring 2nd Generation Camaro. To quote that year's brochure (which, with its Art Deco cover, is nearly as much of a collector's item as the car itself), the last of this hardy breed was "sleek and crisp [with] show-stopping good looks, unmistakable zest for hugging the road and capturing the heart, and a flair for moving through life with style."

The ONLY time in which the ENTIRE Camaro product Generation (2nd Generation 1970 - 1981) in which there were NO Convertible body styles offered.

This is the perfect project car. Firm on price. Definitely a collector's dream,
not much to do for complete restoration. Very Rare find. Only goes up in price.
If I can't get what I'm looking for, I'll just restore it myself. May consider trade.

  • @KHAN1350 my speedo doesnt work on my 81 either if u find out why please send me a message. O check my camaro out on my channel

  • do you know why the speedo isnt working? mines doesnt work either

  • @XxBabboonxX This Camaro is a Sport Coupe with the optional standard cloth interior. It is not a Berlinetta.

  • now its time to drop in a 572 lol

  • @XxBabboonxX berlineta IS a CAMARO

  • @410racer1 My first car was a base model camaro with a 267, compared to my Z28 it was a little underwhelming

  • How is the power of the 267?

  • nice

  • They only made 8,302 of these cars in Maroon. Less than 4,000 were Berlinettas.

The 267 came optional in the Berlinetta, although most opted for the 305 and 350.

I'm getting one of these that rates a 5 on the scale in the description, with the 267 V8.

  • Chieftain,

Can we see more shots; including some of the underside?

The motor cage looks kinda rusty, so the car was driven in the winter/snow, and the undercarriage is rusty too?
