  • How do you like the Magpul CTR? Worth buying over the MOE?

  • The only difference that I can see from the MOE is the locking feature that gets rid of a bit of the "play" you would normally find in the butt stock even after it's locked in position. It's not really a big deal, if you are on a budget and can save $30 with the MOE, I say go for it. I don't think they had the MOE when I bought this CTR.

  • one question how much would a standard ar15 with no optics cost on average do you think because it is one of my all time favorite rifles

  • You can probably find a very basic AR15 for around $800 now. The market is flooded with AR15's thanks to the Obama scare. Demand exploded and the manufacturers overdid it a bit, lol. But the costs depend on the name brand. I personally like Rock River. AR snobs will tell you Rock River sucks because they use commercial specs opposed to mil-spec specs. DPMS or Stag are the cheapest brands I would recommend, any thing else, don't risk it. NEVER buy from Gunsmoke Ent. TRUST ME.

  • I prefer gripping closer to the magazine or putting my hand around the hand guard with my thumb over the top for better stability, but to each his own. That's a nice stock you have on your AR. What is it?

  • That's the Magpul CTR. :-)

And yes, where and how you grip the weapon is 100% personal preference. Some people tell me I should grip it further forward... Come on, just because it works for some doesn't mean it works for all... Thanks for commenting.

  • Way to go touching on eye relief. Alot of people don't realize how important that is.

  • i find the "magpul dymanics grip" for lack of a better term works better

  • @XxLilSavagexX72 yes. weak side (or off hand if your shooting weak side) is what you want to use for the charging handle...

  • the weaver stance (strong side set back) was designed for a shoot and move situation, not for a "smaller target" and is still taught as the optimum stance to room clearing and dynamic situations... the isosceles stance (squared to target) is MUCH more accurate and is taught for quick shot situations and competition, not to "present body armor"... the ultimate goal is to not get hit. if you're hit, with or without body armor, you're down and out of the fight....

  • You sound educated on the topics. Would you mind letting us know more about you or your background...thank you.

  • I like to compare shooting stances to a "boxing stance"--most people know what you mean if you put it that way. It's the same idea: being able to change directions easily, double back, double forward, etc. Also, there's the idea of "bring the rifle to you, don't bring yourself to the rifle." It's something I learned from playing Violin :). Less movement/economy of movement is always good. You hit on all this, though. Good video!

  • just recieved my rock river ar-15, when cocking it, would i use my hand that is NOT my trigger finger/on the pistol grip?

  • thanks, dude....I'm practicing, great training videos

  • Ah, I had my head tilted while my cheek was resting on the stock, I'll try more vertical. Also had big ear muffs so that got in the way heh

  • 4 people don't even own firearms.
