  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... LAME!!!

  • @ivangloryhole slurp slurp, burp burp

  • @ashxyz2008x3 ...and by the way the comet Garradd (this video) is going to be 1.65 AU from Earth. So hardly a subject of discussion.

  • @TruthSeekers101 What you are saying is correct. There is no direct alignment. Halley's comet came closest to earth in 1976 and was 0.58 AU from earth. Elenin will be at 0.38 AU. Elenin is haft the size and twice closest to earth (compared to Halley's) so it will exert twice the force on earth compared to Halley's. But Elenin's velocity is one third (~ 20Km/s) which will help. Elenin also has much smaller coma. So interesting scientific opportunity but not doomsday scenario.

  • Any direct straight-line alignments between Elenin and the Earth and the Sun DOES NOT EXIST. Why? Because as you may know, Elenin is today (8/27/11) traveling toward our Sun and is NOW below the ecliptic plane AND Earth's Rotational Plane around the Sun. Elenin will pass through and then travel ABOVE these two planes on Sept 11, 2011 and then remain ABOVE these planes for many years to come. If you send me an email, I will gladly send you a graphic that clealy shows this.

  • @extraterrestrialnews No mention of Scientists finding a way to prevent our planet overheating: move it to a cooler spot?

All you have to do is hurtle a few comets at Earth, and its orbit will be altered. Our world will then be sent spinning into a safer, colder part of the solar system.

    Nasa aims to move Earth

Scientists' answer to global warming: nudge the planet farther from Sun.
