@DieBySw0rd I agree, I love Neurosis to death, they're probably my favorite band but, in all honesty, I think their peak in concert was between 95 and 99/'00. The intensity was almost unbearable. Since then, they've taken a tiny step back.

I talked to them briefly afterward and asked why they played nothing off of Through Silver and Blood and the was that it takes to mush out of them mentally to play those songs because they come from such a dark period of their lives.

as cool as it is to see them play this stuff its just not the same anymore. when they were touring for this album the way they played was just incredible. I saw them at FunFunFun Fest in Austin TX in 2007 and the oldest song they played was the doorway and it was such an incredible hour and 30 minutes.

I got flashbacked to 1996 when I saw them for the first time. They opened up the show exactly like this, only this time - at Roadburn 2009 - the sound and volume and density was just extreme! I was totally blown away. A magic moment.
