Yes, the video sucks and the La Cucaracha song is kitschy, but this is more about the information, not the presentation.

Documentary on the impact of Francisco "Pancho" Villa, done for History Day 2009.

Contains clips from:
"And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself"

  • Why, do people always have to relate Mexico with "la cucaracha" song? Mariachi is more than that people. Exam; "el pastor", "cielo rojo", "la bikina", "la negra", "deja q' salga la luna", etc, etc.

  • I do wish you had told us this sooner, my friend. My parnter and I only had access to so many songs, 'La Cucaracha' being one of them. This would have helped us so much on our project.

  • puto...?

  • He must have spelled Pluto wrong...

  • that, or he meant I was a rice cake. I says it in, like, three languages...

  • @Poppotatoes Haha... (tagalog right?)

  • umm, seriously im not trying to seem obnoxious, but being mexican myself, and u educating over mexican history...i understand if u cant say certain spanish words with a proper accent...that being said, u should pronounce what reads "ciudad" as syudad and not Q-dad

  • @RileyghostHunter hahaa exactly he was like a call of duty player haha

  • @RileyghostHunter he is tough i'd like to see you take an army by yourself haha

  • @ZEEMADMAN pancho villa can make his own ammo . . . thats how cool he is ha

  • Come On You know it was Illegal to sell Beaners Ammo or Dynamite. You needed a Gringo to buy that for You! For a Modest Fee of course. So He was lucky to get Ammo. He should not have Crossed the Border for that Raid. It alerted the Cavalry & stirred up a Hornets Nest to Pursue Him. Even into Mexico. That was before Taco Bell gave People Runs for the Border! Don't Eat Dogs! Now their trying to Hot Tap Pipelines without the skill or knowledge. But it looks so simple El Jefe. Well apparently not!

  • Too bad peshing never found him and hung the murdering taco eater.

  • reading about it, it' was obvious that in 1911 and 1912, several yankees bankers gave money to Villa - exchange arms/ livestock- giving him the hability to build an army.

  • @cafecon2

this song 'la cucaracha' is perfectly accorded to this subject, because it was sung to laugh at Huerta, the enemy in 1913. I just learned it in the (fucking good) biography, Paco Ignacio taibo II wrote about Pancho Villa.

Anyway, thanks for the vid,... nice job !
