"It was the dawn of the third age of mankind, ten years after the Earth/Minbari war. The Babylon Project was a dream given form.
Its goal: to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call - home away from home for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers. Humans and aliens wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal, all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5." (Opening narration, season 1)

"The Babylon Project was our last, best hope for peace. A self-contained world five miles long, located in neutral territory. A place of commerce and diplomacy for a quarter of a million humans and aliens. A shining beacon in space, all alone in the night. It was the dawn of the Third Age of Mankind...the year the Great War came upon us all. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2259. The name of the place is Babylon 5." (Opening narration, season 2)

"The Babylon Project was our last, best hope for peace. It failed. But, in the Year of the Shadow War, it became something greater: our last, best hope for victory. The year is 2260. The place: Babylon 5." (Opening narration, season 3)

"It was the year of fire... the year of destruction... the year we took back what was ours. It was the year of rebirth... the year of great sadness... the year of pain... and the year of joy. It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed. The year is 2261. The place: Babylon 5." (Opening narration, season 4)

"And so it begins." "There is a hole in your mind" "What do you want?" "No one here is exactly what he appears." "Nothing's the same anymore." "Commander Sinclair is being reassigned." "Why don't you eliminate the entire Narn homeworld while you're at it?" "I see a great hand reaching out of the stars." "Who are you?" "President Clark has signed a decree today declaring martial law." "These orders have forced us to declare independence." "... weapons, supplies..." "...unless you people get off your encounter-suited butts and do something!" "You are the one who was." "If you go to Z'Ha'Dum, you will die." "Why are you here?" "Do you have anything worth living for?" "I think of my beautiful city in flames..." "...like giants in the playground..." "Now get the hell out of our galaxy!" "We are here to place President Clark under arrest." (Opening narration, season 5)

"Babylon 5 was the last of the Babylon stations. There would never be another. It changed the future, and it changed us.
"It taught us that we had to create the future, or others will do it for us.
"It showed us that we have to care for each other, because if we don't, who will?
"And that strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely of places.
"Mostly, though, I think it gave us hope that there can always be new beginnings, even for people like us." (Finale)

  • can you get this muic on dvd?

  • I don't think so. The track is from a Babylon 5 game that was never released.

  • How did you get that Watch In High Quality question beneath your video file?

I have to do this with every movie i make.

    Example:

By adding &fmt=6 to the web address of a video, it is played using the H.263 codec with mono sound, and by adding &fmt=18, it is played using the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec with stereo AAC sound.[42]

So make sure yoúr browser web address says watch?v=6G4wH9R3iUg&fmt=18 and not watch?v=6G4wH9R3iUg

B.T.W. sad but the actor who played G'Kar died from cancer.

  • It just seems that for some videos, they put the high quality link, while for others, they don't.

  • That would have been better with the real music and not just the rollover sound that you put in.

  • That's not rollover sound. That's the soundtrack from the Babylon 5 game that was never released.

  • Yes , but this isnt star trek. This is babylon 5 and they had an epic storyline, better than startrek DS9 in their first three years. They just stole the war-concept form B5.

  • B5 pawns any Star Trek series, The Dominion would have warpped out asap if the vorlons or shadows turned up anywhere near them. The Dominion would not stand a dchance if either planet killer vapourised their home world.

  • Epic

  • Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of man?

    The Shadows know.

  • One of my favorite scenes in B5 was when they were in court and there was what looked like a typical "Grey" alien on the stand. It pans over to the plaintiff and it's a human yelling,"His great grandfather abducted my great grandfather, and I want justice!".

  • 1.01! where did you get that pic?

  • The Babylon5 soundtrack was great. See if I can load them up.

  • I really liked how B5 implemented its version of futuristic science into the episodes. Such as forming two jump gates on top of each other to destroy a trailing shadow vessel. Or the episode where they trapped a shadow vessel by luring into in a planet's gravity well.

  • wow beim spiel "sacred- underworld" gibts in einer höhle auch das eine raumschiff was so aussieht wie eine spinne xD
