I had some shrubs I wanted to remove in the backyard and the best way to do this is to yank them out with a car or truck and a chain. The Lexus ES300 has a tow hitch & it was the best to attach the chain. Pulled the shrub with roots and all, and it was heavy.
why didnt you lock in the rear end?

i do this with my old rusted out minivan, i put a trailer hitch on from the junkyard and i put out stumps, i never sit there like you did at the beginning, that'll tear up the yard i always use momentum, as soon as the rope is about tight i let off and let momentum pull it out so i don't ruin any yards; at this one guy's house he was going to redo his lawn and put in a patio so it didn't matter if i tore it up, he had huge stumps that just about pulled my van in half, good times i love beaters

I guess you're right. But this isn't a tractor, it just makes me feel bad to see a nice car being used as such :)

Sure, why not. Its just weight and inertia. Hardly a difference from just flooring it from a stop light.
