can the weld be ground down afterwards?

Yeah valid comment mate. The video was just a demo to show the pull way of mig welding. Of the top of my head I guess that that was a mixed gas , a tri mix with a bit of oxygen (was a while ago now).

I guess i would just say this is a bad weld because you are pulling, i see a lot of rollover on the bottom, shouldnt see that, basically dont pull short arc, you can lay down a pretty bead, but you can tell the penetration isnt there, what gas are you using? 75/25? I dont wanna come off as a know it all, cause i dont know it all, but most places that have you go off of job specific tolerances, they wont like this, and it wouldnt pass inspection, the welds are too high

looks horrible for someone trying to teach...imo

haters gonna hate! you so called 'men' crituque his welding like a bunch of bitches arguing over wedding dresses! Fucking grow up! NICE WELDING MAN!
You know, you do a nice job on these videos! I can't imagine how much time goes into this to produce these helpful videos. In most of your videos, the descriptions are very thorough and detailed. Can't ask for much more than that! You mentioned in one that you sell welding equipment? I would imagine that you do quite well at it. keep up the good work!
Thanks!

All the mig welding I see is all push unless you need to use pull for whatever reason tight space etc Then there are those who like to do the stack of coins look, this might be ok for pretty work, but no one in my welding industry does that. And i am in different fab shops each day ranging from thin sheet up to 2" thick plate or more. Horses for courses.
