This is a beautiful Jewish Lullaby and part of the Shabbat services. The arrangement of this song is by Craig Taubman. The photos are not my own.

  • @MultiNeshama do you have the lyrics for this song (transliterated)?

  • @14700659 Here it is. This is not the whole prayer.... you can google the net for the whole prayer.... they basicaly sing the first and last verses of the prayer.

    Hashkivenu: Hashkivenu Hashem Elokeinu l'shalom v'ha-amidenu malkenu l'chayim

    Lay us down to sleep, Hashem our G-d, in peace, raise us erect, our King, to life;

    Ushmor tzetenu u-voenu l'chayim ulshalom me'ato v'ad olam

    Safeguard our going and coming, for life and for peace from now to eternity.

  • I am a convert to Judaism and this is one of the songs that bring to me the beauty of the sabbath

  • Lovely song

  • I'm Jewish!!! I love this!!! You should hear the Dan Nichols version. I love that!!!

  • Whoever disliked this must be anti-semite. >:( Seriously, who can dislike this perfection?

  • whoever disliked this video should be deeply ashamed of themself. This is a beautiful Jewish prayer that is also a song. Even though almost everyone liked it, the one person who disliked it should be ashamed beyond belief.

  • Absolutely Beautiful, a Friend on Facebook Actually Got To Meet Craig Taubman at a Jewish Folk Arts Festival. She Shared This Beautiful Piece this Very Morning!

  • @akiva7 Google "Dan Nichols Eternity Utters a Day." The music starts at 1:00. The lyric is not as the singer says written by Dan Nichols. It is from the Reform Shabbat prayer book. But very beautiful, yearning tone.

  • I love this song and have to play it multiple times a day on my computer. It brings me so much peace. THANK YOU for producing this beautiful song!
