I have programmed the Mouse robot to seek out objects (cups) while roaming around a table. Once an object is spotted, the robot moves forward and grabs the object with a Gripper. It then searches for the edge of the table, where it drops the unwanted object to the ground. A piezo buzzer mimics the sound of the falling object. The robot is triggered to start moving by shading a photoresistor.

An onboard wireless video camera records the action from the robot's point of view. Both the human view and the robot view are shown in the video.

Robodyssey Systems manufactures the Mouse robot, Gripper, and RAMB II motherboard you see here. The robot's brain is NetMedia's BX-24 microcontroller, which is programmed using the BasicX language. I am the author of the world's only BasicX textbook; if you are interested in learning how to program your own robot, see my website at www.basicxandrobotics.com.

  • it shows kids clean up or your in bigger shit then before

  • Impressive...it detects objects....though pushing the objects off the table needs some improvement..anyway..cool!..,. search this in youtube!!! ROBOTIS Bioloid Anacobra Robot Most Advanced Beginner's kit (NASA)

  • Soooo, why does it drop it off the table in random spots? Doesn't that defeat the whole "cleaning" idea?
