Palmyra Peak Telluride

Telluride ski resort in Colorado just opened up some new hike to terrain on Feb, 12th 2008. Here's a peek at how awesome it is. Get your butt to T-Ride. This was the 2nd day it was open and it was very windy. A note on the audio, the area I identify as Bear Creek is Lena Basin in upper Bear Creek. Looking down at the ski area is the Mountain Village side of the resort.

good lord, i would pee my pants if i was standing up there lol...ok not really but still. I have skied Telluride many times in the last few years. I miss being out there so much i live in Minnesota now

I was there just one month later, they had just over 600 inches! This was my first visit to To Hell You Ride! I did not find out until much later that this was the first year they had the bowl open above Black Iron Bowl. I feel privileged to have done the hike to the top then ski down on the first year of this being opening to the public. A definite must do for all North American skiers and riders...

Nope, this is palmyra peak, not the former Palmyra on lift 5. This one (Palmyra Peak) you have to hike to.

whats the elevation of that mountain you skiied?? looks awesome im stuck on the plains of co and dont get to hit the mountains too often but better here and close than stuck in tex or something lol.. great vid!!!
