  • Is that the only track out to Western MA? If it is, we have a long way to go.

  • @yarmo28 There's Actually Many To Name Here. We Have A CSX Main Line That Runs East-west Between Selkirk New york And Boston, Hosting 20-25 Trains A Day. The Northern Route Is Pan Am Which Runs Between Mohawk NY And Portland Maine, And Has 4 Trains A Day. The North To South Route, Which Is NECR, Runs Between New London, CT And ST Albans VT. NECR Runs 4 Trains A Day, Plus Two Vermonters, As Seen Here. Another North South Route Is The Housatonic Railroad, A Few Trains A Week. Hope This Helps!

  • Man, a lot of bright red lights. Is one of the signals mounted on its own signal box?

  • @PereMarquette1223 I Think At Some Point It Was A Relay Case, But The Real One IS To The Right.

  • @skyman2002 Thanks. What a complete run-down on all the activity. I think the first you mentioned (NY to Boston) runs through our city and does carry a lot of freight, but I've only seen one passenger train in several decades. Since Amtrak got rid of the Montrealer, we have only a diesel shuttle between Springfield and New Haven. I think my granddaughter took a train from Springfield to Boston, but it was a disaster - a trip that should have been no more than two hours was 5 hours long.

  • Looks like someone forgot to chanage the pusher's light from Headlights to running lights.

  • where is the famous vermonter baggage car with the beautiful paint job???

  • WRRS stands for Western Railroad Supply, a signal manufacturing company which was credited for introducing the first automatic gate/signal combination back in 1936. That signal was called the Model 10, and it is still being made (in a more modern form, of course) by the descendent of WRRS now known as Western Cullen Hayes.

  • MY EYES ಥ_ಥ
