Thanks for this! I redid my entire basement (which was cinderblock, actually) and ended up doing a little over 1000 bricks using this method. Everyone who's seen it can't believe it isn't ACTUAL brick.

@MAMAFRUITCAKE Thank you... I would love to see pictures or video. I'm glad it worked for you :)

Sure... it's a painting technique over plaster. In this video the plaster texture behind the faux finished bricks only added to the depth of the bricks. Try getting smaller samples of paint and test your technique in a corner. Then go gang busters when you have the colors correct and a technique that works. Let me know what happens :)

nice work you think it would work for people whom want to do the old world look like brick an plaster ???

@brokendolltoplaywith Yes... and have fun with it. This is simply a painting technique laid upon previous brick and plaster. The waves, motion, and texture of the plaster was not made by me. Those patterns in the end helped the faux finish and mural look more real.

I want to paint my cinder block foundation to look like river rocks but can't find any information online how to do it. Wish you could make a video of that.

I'll see if I can find a cinder block foundation wall someone will let me paint. @gabbie3939
