Actually, Korea was originally spelled as Corea. However, due to the harsh rule under Japanese, Koreans were forced to change the first letter to a K. This was Japans way of making Korea 'superior' even in the alphabet.

I'm not sure why they spelled it that way either because it is all in English, but Spanish speaking countries write it as Corea and the capital is Seul.
maybe Milan has similar writing ?... just an idea...
like Brazil in Spanish is Brasil. no Z.
