My stupid comptars (Computers)

My modem died on me, so I haven't been on YouTube for a while, but I'm back. I got a new modem and it wouldn't work with my computer because the computer didn't have the drivers for it's own Ethernet port. My other computer I use didn't had the drivers for it either, because about a year ago I re-installed windows on both of them, but before I did it, I only downloaded the drivers I thought I'd need, I didn't think about downloading any eihnet drivers because the modem I used a the time was USB and I had the disc for it, so I learned a lesson there, always get ALL the drivers for your computer, even the ones you think you won't need if you're going to re-install windows, because you never know. (take note of my warning there) I also tried the modem on an old computer I have in pieces that was from a college and that worked a bit, but not very well, I think the modem needed to be rebooted, it would have probably worked if on it I had done that. Later after this video I bought an Ethernet card and it wouldn't work on any of my computers. I came across a hacked version of Windows XP on a CD that I forgot I had, and I installed it on my computer thinking that maybe if I try the installing Ethernet card on a freshly installed windows it might work, but I found hat this hacked windows was able to use my computers built in Ethernet port, but it still wouldn't work, so I tried rebooting the modem and I was able to get back on line, so I found and downloaded the drivers for the Ethernet port on the web, and installed them on the windows I normally use because I don't want to use a hacked windows XP, and now I'm back on YouTube.

Whew, that was a loooooooong video description, but even with this new modem I have it's still taking FOREVER to upload, this would take less than 15 minutes to download it, so WHY THE HELL DOES IT TAKE SO FREAKIN' LONG TO UPLOAD?

My uncle built my computer for me, but he didn't give me the CD's for it. I can build computers myself now, and I probably will build myself a better one if I had enough money.

I just installed Windows 7 and it had all the drivers for my motherboard, it's not always the case though. I just google my motherboard model and fidn the manufacturer's site and they are all there :)

It's all working now.

Virgin bought out NTL some time ago, NTL still makes the parts, but it's all under he name of VIrgin Media now.

In that case, stick a nice ethernet card known to work with Windows without a driver in and your in business! Most box of old forgotten cards feature one or 2 :) The ones with Intel and Realtec chips seem to give me good luck with Xp and Vista and the more Windows updates on the disk even batter! As for old Dells, they are cute and quiet(apart from the hard drive hehe) but they aren't too good at youtube videos!!!!!! Ahh Maggie, my beautiful 400MHz Dell I will never forget you :D

The hacked Win XP was able to set itself up with the modem, I didn't have to do anything, ii was ready when windows had finished installing, but I don't like to use a Pirated Hacked O.S., so I only used it to find and download the drivers I need, then I installed them on the windows that I normally use, it works fine now. The modem only came with the blue cable, but there seems to be no problems.
