  • Hi Sankum,

If you let white bread dough rise overnight, it will rise way too much. You could put it in the fridge overnight for one of the rises, but that sometimes makes it taste yeasty. If you do try it, let the second rise happen in the fridge, and then let it stand for an hour or so on the counter before you bake it.

    Good luck

  • Hi Matthew,

The milk adds fat to the recipe, basically ( and liquid). I have done the same recipe with water instead of milk and it turns out fine, too.

  • Also, brilliant with the whole kneading in the bowl aspect. One of my main aversions to making bread has always been whole 'clean up the flour mess on the counter' problem. But now it's not a problem. Hurrah.

Glad you found the video helpful! I hope the second batch turned out well. Thanks for letting me know how it went.

  • How long do you bake it and at what temperature?

  • Thanks so much. I am going to have to alter the recipe a bit because I have a dairy allergy. I have a good basic idea to start with. I punched down my dough and I used full wheat and it was really flat and dense. So, gonna do it your way to see how that comes.

  • Hey Steve,

Thanks for the great videos. Exactly what size bread pan should I get? Is there a standard size?

    Thanks,

    Elan

  • Hey thanks! for the video! But?One thing? I watched the whole video and at the end there was nothing telling me what to bake the bread at or for how long? The link in the description did not work? SO could you tell me what to bake it at and for how long? I am very NEW at this.. lol!

  • Nice loaf!

  • I like it..but noticed that you touched your nose and then handled the bread also put your nose very close to the loaf which is not healthy. You don't need to put your nose so up close to smell it.

Anyways, I am gonna try it and let you know. :)

  • Thank You so Much I found your Video Very helpful , Im gone make one for my family tomorrow and let you know the result.
