This is my vocal cover of "I have nothing" by Whitney Houston.
I cut out the intro, mainly because there is no singing, and i felt awkward just standing there.
I did it in one shot. Vocals were recorded to Pro tools with some compression and reverb.
Video was recorded using a webcam, so I apologize for any glitches or synching issues.

  • Good work man! Please let me know what you think of mine..:)

  • thats not real

  • Thanks for this "One of a kind" tribute to Whitney.

You sing from your heart and soul - It put a smile on my face. THANKS AGAIN!

  • @TheJan2988 He's not that pitchy, his runs are not messy and all over the place. The chorus "Don't make me close one more door..." sounds like a very light mix voice, not falsetto. Falsetto is airy, falsetto is a very different vocal production. He's singing in a very light mix, which means that there is a head dominance in resonation. Adam Lambert's belts are little bit more chesty. However, he's singing falsetto in the beginning and throughout the verses.

  • @ThePianoguy89 in my opinion, it does sound pitchy. It also sounds off key at times, which is kind of acceptable since it's suppossed to be a one shot recording. Oh and the verses, he's using soft falsetto, the prechorus is actually mixed voice but the choruses are done with a heavy falsetto. Cheers!

  • @TheJan2988 Well he doesn't really sound pitch or strained. He kinda reminds me of Adam Lambert and the technique that he uses. He's singing in mixed chest voice, not some weak and airy falsetto voice, although using falsetto is great too, just not for this song.

  • @ThePianoguy89 I would agree if it didn't sound a bit strained and pitchy, that's what makes me think you should lower the key. No offense! peace :)

  • @Coveu That's not falsetto, that's mixed chest voice.
