In preparation for Breaking Dawn Part 2's upcoming fall release, we've decided to take a trip down memory lane and call attention to Bella Swan's ever-changing appearance throughout the Twilight Saga. It has been revealed in interviews with author Stephenie Meyer that she strategically left out a detailed physical description of the character in order to allow readers to relate to her as an "everygirl". Keeping that in mind, we will take a look at Kristen Stewart as she was first introduced as Bella in Twilight. When we first meet her, she is just 17 and noticeably insecure. She is outfitted with minimal makeup and her pale appearance definitely helps to convince us of her youth and innocence as she blindly enters into her forbidden relationship with Edward. As the saga progresses and Bella matures, we are definitely able to notice some subtle differences in her appearance. New Moon presents us with a slightly older Bella who has obviously grown more self-esteem as a result of her budding relationship with Edward. In addition to her added confidence, Kristen's hair seems to have transformed from a dull brown hair to a noticeably darker and more radiant auburn color. The evolution of Bella's appearance continues into the third installment of the series, featuring, again, an older looking Bella with even darker locks that apparently aren't even real! That's right, in order to cover up the hairstyle that Stewart was rocking for her role as Joan Jett in the film The Runaways, Kristen actually wore a wig for Eclipse! In fact, a ton of Twilight fans spoke out that they were not so happy about its fluffy and frizzy nature, nor that it was totally noticeable. Now before we get to Bella's full-blown vampire transformation that takes place in the closing chapter of the series, let's take a look at Bella's most mature look yet as a human. In Breaking Dawn Part 1, we see a glowing Bella on her wedding day as well as on her honeymoon. The newlywed appears much more comfortable in her own skin, which actually appears to be just a tad tanner -- perhaps to contrast with her soon-to-be whiter than white or paler than pale vampire skin. She looks happy and gorgeous and perfect as Bella. In Breaking Dawn Part 2 when Bella's finally undergoes the ultimate physical transformation into a vampire, somehow the character is more beautiful than ever. Her new found physical and mental abilities, as well as her new role as a mother, all play a key part in her appearance and behavior in the final film. Here we see a very dignified Bella, complete with piercing gold eyes, flowing auburn hair, and deep red-stained lips... a look that we can't wait to see more of when the much anticipated Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th 2012! Let us know what part of the transformation is your favorite or maybe even your least favorite -- post a comment below. I'm Dana Ward in Hollywood, thanks for watching ClevverTV.
