FRONTAL OFFSET TEST

OVERALL EVALUATION: Good

Good Acceptable Good Good Good Acceptable

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.
Test details:

The Nissan Quest was redesigned for the 2004 model year.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. There was too much upward steering wheel movement. During rebound, the deployed driver side curtain airbag kept the dummy's head away from the B-pillar.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the neck, chest, and both legs indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. A high head acceleration occurred when the dummy's head hit the steering wheel through the airbag, indicating that injuries to the head would be possible.

  • I agree, American made cars are a piece of shit! It's something in the way they are made: I picture lazy fat ass, corner cutting, country boys just working for a paycheck. When I think of German, Japanese or some other country, I think of workers that are dedicated, honored to be employed, college educated, healthy, hard working workers.

  • American cars suck, they aren't reliable at all, i would never drive an American car. Japanese cars r on the other hand r built to last long time. Where as American cars will stick a lot of bills in ur faces. nd I would know
