I visited the Alamo a few years back and this is the same tour guide I (jokingly) asked about the basement. He gave me the exact same answer you got here, although he played it off and didn't mention Pee-wee at all. We both smiled and I said "ah, the man knows!" I believe his name is Ray, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for sharing this.

This reminds me of the time I had dinner at Emeril's restaurant in Las Vegas.Every asshole that put salt or pepper on his food yelled out "BAM" at the top of his lungs.It was pathetic to say the least.

yeah i made a girl ask to see the basement and they said there are two basements at the alamo and both of them are off-limits. sadly, she didn't understand why I found this so funny.
