Kinda sucks the romance out of the sex huh.. unless your with a woman who digs the darth vader type.. you might be able to pull it off if you acquire a black CPAP mask and practice really hard at the James Earl Jones voice. :) Damn CPAP. There has to be a better way for apnea sufferers. It's 2007.

seriously though anybody else experience trouble with pulling the mask off at nite?

i wake up violently ripping the unit of around 1am every nite fall asleep and wake up with mask laying on the bed...wtf

You shouldn't wear a full mask . For me it forces air in my stomach and I want to puke.

Thanks for the cute video. It's obvious that some of the folks who commented don't wear a CPAP! My headgear blows air straight out from the bridge of my nose, so I can snuggle up against my husband's back afterward, but only if I ball the covers around his neck to keep from freezing him!

There is currently only one CPAP device on the market that goes as high as 30 cmH2O the Goodnight from Nellcor Puritan Bennett (NPB) all of the other devices only go to 20 cmH2O.

Very rarely have I had a patient require pressures above 14 cmH2O, and only once in 17 years above 20 cmH2O (he was 450 lbs). Most of the devices used to titrate you in sleep centres also will not go above 20 cmH2O, and when I see pressures above 16-17 cmh2O is it usually over titration

You have to re-train yourself if you are a cpap wearer. Before cpap, it was sex, then a few seconds of cuddle, then we were out as if hit by a Sugar Ray left hook. Now, I have to fight to stay awake during the cuddle and then put on the cpap (usually after she has fallen into the snore zone).

yea i know it is cumbersome....but you want to be able to breath when you sleep and not have you airway collaspe on you right? you wouldnt want you woman or man to find you blue in the am....trust me they wouldnt have given it to you if you werent at risk WEAR IT!
