This is a demo made by Dr. Vadim Tikhanoff (www.vtikhanoff.com) where you can see the iCub following a blue ball while using both the eyes and also neck movements.

  • Where do you get these things? I want one :D

  • Such a solemn little thing. :)

  • @Juefawn I don't know man. It's a f**king robot--this is an experiment in developing AI and understanding intelligence. To get a robot to actually have "desire" is incredibly complicated. @wlorenz65 above seems unable to help criticizing everything these people are trying to do. Unless it is purely intelligent and cognizant, s/he throws tomatoes.

  • Five fours later: experimenter gets tired, viewers get bored ... and iCub is still tracking the blue ball ;-)

  • @TheDuneMan92 it should track any object!

  • Eyes cues A+

Where is the desire to test motor skills with the ball? Where is the physical desire for interaction with object? I haven't seen this in any of the films thus far.

  • aaaa hell robots are smarter then babies ..... shits it the fan, TIINAAAA GET THE RIFLE AND HEAD TO THE BAD CAVE

  • these freakin robots could take over the world!!!!!!!!!!

i am going to build a house where i will be safe when that does happen!!!!

    Food-ckeck

    water-check

    guns-check

    good to go!!!

  • It's cool, but would look cooler with a mouth. even ASIMO has a mouth :P.

  • Hey my dog does that not robots :L
